AIR AMBULANCE FAQ
Q1. What is an air ambulance?
It is an aircraft used for transporting patients. The air ambulance is installed with medical equipment to monitor the patient's vital signs.
Q2. Can all aircraft be configured to an air ambulance?
No. Not all air ambulances are fully equipped. Chiron Learjet comes with a wide cabin door to easily load the patient-on-strecher into the cabin. The cabin is installed with ICU life-support equipment and a Spectrum AeroMed Stretcher System. The equipment is manned by experienced medical personnel trained in aeronautical medicine.
Q3. How many accompanied passengers can the air ambulance accommodate?
The air ambulance can only carry up to 2 additional passengers beside the patient and the medical team. There is no additional charge for accompanying passengers on the same flight.
Q4. How much luggage can I bring?
Please limit your luggage to 2 small carry-on bags. We give maximum space for medical equipment/personnel.
Q5. Do I need to arrange for land ambulance transportation; is it included in the service?
An all-inclusive air ambulance service provides bed-to-bed transfer. Land ambulance transfer is included in our costing unless requested otherwise. As time is of crucial importance, all arrangements are coordinated to minimize time wastage.
Q6. How much advance notice is required prior to air ambulance take off?
Upon confirmation, we require 2-3 hours to prepare for take off.
Q7. Can Chiron help to arrange VISA for us?
Yes. We can help facilitate the application of relevant visas for both patient and accompanying passengers. |
